There are 4 beaches that are very popular among tourists in Anguilla. Namely Sandy Ground, Rendezvous Bay, Shoal Bay East, and Upper Shoal Bay.

Sandy Ground

If you are looking for the perfect entertainment while in the island, stay at Sandy Ground. There is where you can dine and have a drink either at Sand Bar, the Elvis’ Beach Bar, Johnno’s and Roy’s.

Sandy Ground is nearest to the pier, making it more accessible to travelers. To add to the view, there are many yachts and sailboats in the bay area. There are also very welcoming locals who are willing to assist tourists.

Rendezvous Bay

Stunning white sand beach, clear blue waters and a more peaceful ambience is what Rendezvous Bay has in store for their visitors. If you are looking for a fine place to eat, there are many decent bars and restaurants around the area.

Dune Preserve is one of the most popular music bars in the island that features the best music shows in the island. Every March, the Moon Splash Music Festival is also held here.

Shoal Bay East

Probably the most popular beach of Anguilla, Shoal Bay East is a mile long stretch of the finest sand. It is surrounded by plenty of restaurants and bars in the Caribbean. If you are into water sports, you can go scuba diving or snorkeling.

Alternatively go glass-bottom boating and witness beautiful coral reefs visible even offshore. If you stroll around the island, you will find more tourists on Shoal Bay East than any of the beaches around.

Upper Shoal Bay

Upper Shoal Bay is located just at the eastern portion of Shoal Bay East. If you are looking for the whitest and finest sand in Anguilla, Upper Shoal Bay is the place to go. The stunning white sands are due to the huge amounts of white colored chalky algae flakes. They are produced close to the reef offshore, making it a favorite destination among snorkelers.
